This course teaches you Art as an experience and as a mindful creative process that will help increase your creativity, self-awareness and productivity. Focusing on the journey and not the final art piece, you will learn to understand your inspired concepts, curate your own expressive colour palettes, and create these conceptual artworks by exploring and defining your style of art. Previous art training is not needed as you delve into exploring your sense of curiosity and creative freedom. 

Artist and Designer Aaruthra’s busy lifestyle made her realize the importance of creating art not just as passion but also as a mindfulness practice. She draws her inspiration to paint from day-to-day objects, nature, travel, clothing, books, movies, and emotions into her wellness products. This also led to her to specialize in creating very simple yet thoughtful artworks on a mission to inspire people to do more, create more and live more every day. 

Here's what we'll cover: 

By the end of this course, students will experience art as a mindful creative process that allows for more productivity and creativity in daily life. You’ll be able to see the transformative process from the initial inspiration to your final artwork. You’ll be able to put together the right products and tools for your inspired creative pieces, including finding the right colour palette. You’ll walk through a step-by-step process of creating four unique conceptual artworks to choose from daily for your creative break, which can each be done within 10 – 15 minutes. Finally, you shall step into the game by creating your own unique masterpieces that speak to you in the daily creative breaks you take during your work/study. You will be able to use these techniques alone or together to create different types of mindful art for your daily practice.

Hi, I’m Your Instructor, Aaruthra


Aaruthra is an Artist and Designer. Her busy lifestyle made her realize the importance of creating art not just as passion but also as a mindfulness practice. This led to her to specialize in creating very simple yet thoughtful artworks.

For her, art is to express oneself with complete freedom. She draws her inspiration to paint from day-to-day objects, nature, travel, clothing, books, movies, and emotions. She also has an Instagram series called ‘ArTEA Talk’ that brings together Art & Thoughts on Wellbeing over a Tea-time chat.

She owns a Designer brand under her name, Aaruthra® and offers design and illustration services for brands and books, and is expanding to produce Art & Wellness related products and to teach Art Practice, on a mission to inspire people to do more, create more & live more every day.

What if I’ve never tried a mindful practice before? 

This course is perfect for you! This course is intended for total beginners or anyone interested in learning and incorporating a mindful creative practice. 


What if I’m not very artistic? 

We’ll walk you through the beauty of simple art, step by step. Learning how to work with watercolours to develop your handwork can help enhance your creativity! If you are artistic, there are plenty of opportunities to get creative, but anyone can take this course and end up with the basics of creating a daily mindful practice with art. 


How long do I have access to the course? 

After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own. 


When does the course start and finish? 

The course starts now and never ends! It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish. 


Can I really take this entire course in one afternoon?
